Cloudy Metrics is an ongoing effort to provide accessible information about the cloud. In our research we've identified a need to acquire cloud meta-data programmatically.
Our instance search allows you to search all known instances using a [field][operator][value] shorthand. The results returned are updated client-side.
Our interactive cloud instance browser allows you to browse hundreds of available cloud instances based on the parameters you specify. You can fine-tune parameters to narrow your options down to the instance you need.
Our information is available via RESTful services; see the documentation: http://api.cloudymetrics.com/api.
This service, its motivation, and its implementation is described in a conference paper. Cloudy Metrics is one of five finalists at SERVICES Cup 2012. Read the paper here, or find it in the IEEE digital library.

We encourage community submissions to improve our information. We provide tool support for submitting metrics, or you can use a RESTful API.
